Since I was 10 years old I have been involved in helping friends and family battle all different types of cancer. Recently I committed to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer taking place in NYC this October. This is not only a challenge physically (walking 13-26 miles over 2 days) but it also requires quite a bit of fundraising. I've committed to raising at least $1800 and I'm walking with a team of friends who are also committed to raising that amount each as well. If you would like to help support us and dontate online, you can visit my personal Avon Walk for Breast Cancer site. If you'd like to contribute with a check, please PL me and I can send you a stamped envelope and donation coupon. Thanks to anyone who can help. And FWIW, I'm (obviously) starting fundraising early. If you're interested in contributing but can't right now, please PL me and I'll put you on my mailing list. I'll be sending out updates about once a month or so up until the date of the walk. Thanks all! -Strings aka Amanda (out of the MOL closet for a good cause!) |

Amanda, I completed the Avon walk in 1999. Back then, it was the Avon 3-Day; we walked a total of about 60 miles over the course of the three days. It's an incredible experience, and I commend you for doing it. I will PL you, also!! |
