Need to purchase 5-8 plastic dishpans for school , would prefer to no more than $1 each. Big Lots in Springfield didn't have any in stock ( I usually schlep down there to get them because they are a decent quality for 99 cents) . I am heading to Amazing Savings later today to see if they have any. I know of the dollar store in the Livingston Mall, but are there any between the Livingston Circle and Novartis? Thanks! |

Have you tried the dollar store on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood where the Rite Aid used to be? (Near the corner of Springfield Avenue and Yale Street.) |

Best place I've found yet is the Christmas Tree Shop in Paramus, NJ. Its not a store dedicated to things for a Christmas tree. Jots tons of bargain goodies. Its located adjacent to IKEA. I can't believe the things I've purchased there for close to nothing. I laugh everytime how little I spend and what I come out with. I know its a bit further but its worth the drive. http://www.christmastreeshops.com/frames.html |

I'm in West Orange, so I figured Route 10 would be easier, today. |

We just got back from National Wholesale Liquidators on route 22 (near Costco, in the Best Buy parking lot). They always have decent stuff... you know, in a "this is all crap anyway" sort of manner. |

I believe there's also a dollar (or 99 cents ) store on Morris Avenue in Union, just east of where the Baskin Robbins/Dunkins Donuts is located. |

I think a dollar store has opened in the strip mall on Valley Road in West Orange. |

Went to the one on Main St... forgetting that Downtown WO was closed for the St Patricks Day parade. Headed up Route 10... nothing at Amazing Savings... no dollar stores between Livingston Circle and Target. Turned around and headed back to West Orange, figuring the parade was over, and the streets would be opened. Found the store " Just for a Dollar" - 217 Main St, - in the CVS shopping center. While they didn't have the rounded dish pans (like the others I already have) , I did find bins that will suit my purposes. Found a bunch of other stuff... and $18 and 20 minutes later, was on my way home. Thanks for all your suggestions. You are right , John, this dollar store seems to specialize in plastic storage containers... there was a whole aisle of them. I was a little hesitant because of the large sign near the entrance, indicating you could buy chicken, hot dogs, cornish hens, eggs, etc for only $1.. thought maybe the store was only a grocery store, not a "dollar store". |

Glad it worked out, Suzanne. They should pay you for the free advertising you just gave them! LOL |
