Don't know how far you are willing to travel, but I took my son to Dr. Ruetter in Long Branch, NJ. He's a developmental pediatrican as well as neurologist. I took my son to him and have friends who also would put their children's lives in his hands. He was great - actually going back this month for a follow up.

Have no suggestions, just good thoughts for your family for whatever is causing you to need the resource.

Dr. Ruth Nass at NYU med is wonderful.
She also usually travels with a student, so you get multiple viewpoints - very helpful.

Take care --- been down this road a ton, if you need any other support, PL me

DeSouza is out of town, has anyone had experience with anyone else in his practice?

Dr. Abba Cargan in Mountainside, NJ is absolutely excellent. He is not only knowledgeable and highly regarded in his field, but he is warm, patient and great with children. (908)233-5000. PL if you want more information.

Another recommendation is Dr. Aviva Bojko out of ST. Barnabas hospital. She is an excellent pediatric neurologist-excellent training and great bedside manner.

Good luck

Connie: I differ with you on Dr. Bojko: Despite her being very bright, I found her lacking in "people skills"; in a field where nuanced communication with both patients and family is critical, she displays an bluntness verging on arrogance. Just my opinion.

Soda:

Sorry to hear you had such an experience. Definitely to each his own. Isn't it interesting how people can have such different experiences. One person's bluntness is another's honesty. C'est la Vie.

I hope you found another neurologist that you are happy with, yes?

Indeed we did. Dr Geller, also affiliated with St. B's, has offices in the Atkins-Kent Bldg. across from the hospital. He's the total package.

Soda,
My plan does include a Dr. Eric Geller in Livingston and W Orange. Does that sound like your guy?
Thanks

I, too, highly recommend Eric Geller.
