A couple nights ago I noticed a small sticky spot on our dresser (I think it may have been a drop of perfume). I was unable to just rub it off, so I used a drop of Orange Glo mixed with water, and now it seems I've rubbed the finish off as well. The area is a little smaller than a dime and not that noticeable, but I want to make sure the wood is protected (refinishing the whole piece is not an attractive option at this point). Any suggestions? |

The really appropriate thing to do would be to refinish. If if is truly down to bare wood, you can protect it by rubbing lemon oil on it. You probably have to repeat the oil every so often. It won't help with discoloration. |
