I'm finally getting around to that new years resolution and looking to put together a home gym in my basement. Any advice on where to get good used equipment would be most appreciated. I'm already regularly checking Craigslist and MOL's Classified ads. I'm looking for aerobic exercise equipment (e.g., treadmill, bikes, ergs, ellipticals) and free weight plates.

Thanks.

I know some folks who have had luck on e-bay. I hear you on the used equipment though. I checked out some new stuff recently and couldn't believe some of the price tags. Your post should also get you nibbles from other posters who are looking to unload their equipment. We sold an old car this that way.
