I have a gym-quality recumbent bike that I'd like to be able to use but the resistance part of it doesn't work and I can't figure it out or find anyone to repair it. The manufacturer sold out to a larger company that has been no help. he brand is Trimline and the model is "five-seven."

It seems to be a electric/magnetic sort of system used to create resistance for the different programs.

If it can't be fixed, I was thinking that maybe some kind of rehab place or senior center could use it since the pedaling could still get the blood flowing...otherwise look for it at bulk pickup.

Any ideas?

Czele -- You may want to try High Gear in Millburn. It's a bike shop, but they are authorized retailers of some resistance machines like Cycleops, so they may be able to repair.
