I bought some new suits, and the pants came back a little too 'british', if you know what i mean. so much for a good deal from charles tyrwhitt ... i just need the pants let out a bit so that i don't feel like i'm wearing athletic pants. does anyone out there know a good tailor that is local (and open on saturday mornings)?

The one I swore by has retired (Francesca). There is a newish poster named Heidye (?) who has gotten several compliments from other posters. I've never used her myself. Maybe you could search for her name?

BTW - I thought that both your initial responses were funny.

My family has been using Dario of Paradise Tailors in Summit since the mid seventies. He is truly incredible. He tailored striped wool sweaters that I bought right after my son was born after I had gone down two sizes. A friend of mine used him for a leather coat. His work is beautiful. He is in East Summit on Edison Ave, I believe. He is listed under Paradise Tailors.

I've used Hediye (Gifted Thimble) and have always found her work to be great. I have tried other tailors etc, and never been as happy as I would have wished. I have used Hediye for about 2-3 years and am delighted. Her number is 973 313 1621.
