Our family loves V. Trattoria, but they don't deliver and this weekend we are having a large party and delivery is essential. We have no experience with any very good pizzarias that are able to deliver. Can you offer your opinion on who I should call? Thanks. |

Arturo's Brick Oven Pizza is always my first choice for delivery. Mexicana is yummy but must be on a "traditional" crust. Greco is de-lish and perfect for thin crust. |

My partner loves Maplewood Pizza on Valley. He says it reminds him of the pizza his grandmother used to make. They deliver and their number is 973-378-8588 |

Maplewood Pizzeria delivers great pies, but you must be very specific in your order about toppings and degree of "done-ness." We order a pie with extra tomato sauce and cheese, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, and pepperoni, and always request "well done." The result is ALWAYS completely satisfying. |

We recently ordered a Maplewood Pizza and were VERY disappointed. Reservoir on South Orange Ave delivers is my favorite for delivey, and delivery does not alter the amazing pizza in any way! |

I think something might have changed at Maplewood Pizzeria recently. They have long been my absolute favorite, and I always order the same thing. I called last week, and was a little surprised that the price was a couple of bucks lower than usual. Then, it seemed that the crust just wasn't the same - tasted kind of pre-made, or something... Not that it was bad pizza, but it wasn't the amazing pizza that I've been getting from them consistently for the last four years. I'm hoping that it was just an off night. |

Bunnys, especially for more unusual toppings, is a new favorite for us...their ususal pizza is very thin crust, but they have a thick crust option (have not tried it) I like Arturos - mr. doula doesn't like their sauce We also like El Greco & sometimes Martys (?)/Peace Pizza (not sure of name at this point) We like Maplewood Pizza's Sicilian ("square pizza") |

We get from Maplewood Pizza all the time and think its great. Never had a problem with the pie being under or over cooked, there have been a few instances where it took a long time, but mostly its 25 minutes after we call. |

Our favorite is Reservoir. Thin crusted, somewhat unique in flavor of the sauce. Another great option is Joe's Pizza. They are actually located in Union believe it or not. Their restaurant is on the corner of Springfield Avenue and Millburn Avenue. Also thin crusted and very yummy. We think better than Arturos. |

Cookiecutter, I appoligize for EVERY prior poster, as it appears MOL has been infiltrated by a bunch of tourists from IOWA, who couldn't determine good pizza from Dominoes....The above mentioned list is average options, AT BEST, and don't get me started on Joe's.... Please consider the following: Franks (973)763-4837on Valley St...Frank left Roman Gourmet in town to open his own shop, and will send you great Lg Cheese Pies for $10 each....awesome Zaa... Marty's (973) 762-6731 on Ridgewood is a good second choice for basic, and always good Zaa... Finally, Pizzetta (973) 376-3773 from Millburn has terrific Traditional Italian Pizza delivery (smaller pies, fresh ingredients, etc) if you are looking for that. |

I think Joe's is in Vauxhall actually. And i've tried it... personally i prefer Bunnies for bar pies. Someone corrected me here once and said that either one or the other was not actually a bar pie, but they never clarified what that meant, so that's what i'll go on calling them. Maplewood Pizza is our favorite, but they're not without their kinks. We live on ___ Street, and they're forever trying to deliver the pies to ___ Road, and taking the pie back when they can't find our house. 45 minutes later, we have to call to find out where our pie is, and a cold pizza gets delivered to us 20 minutes later. Learning our lesson, i called for pickup recently, and when i got there, it turns out our pie was overcooked, and they were making us a "new" one. (They showed me the overcooked one and it was indeed a bit on the dark side.) But their definition of new was to take several pieces from the plain pies they presumably had available for walk-ins, cobble together a whole pie, throw our toppings on it, and warm it up in the oven for a bit. Was it still good? Sure. Did it strike me as a little odd? Yep. Will i still order from there, despite them being a little high maintenance once in a while? I do believe i will. |

My kids love Maplewood Pizza but to me the pizza always smells "meaty." Reservoir is delicious but beware that the pies are smaller than the norm, so adjust your order accordingly if it's for a party. There's also Gian Marco on Millburn Ave. I like their food a lot. |

papayagirl, when you call for your order to maplewood pizza, you should tell them you live on ___ street off of ___ street (the one that runs at the top of the street). works for us evertime. its funny because the same thing would happen to us, and we'd get phone calls from the drivers asking where the heck we lived! However, for the last year or so, they seem to be getting to know us (unfortunately for our veins and arteries). |

Thanks Everybody! Please keep the comments coming, they are priceless. We did a CHS function in the Fall and used Frank's and other than the driver getting lost, the pizza was pretty good. The party is on Friday night, so any pizzaria should be open.

I've been going to Joes Pizza since I was a little kid; there were two entrances, one near a pay phone and bathroom. Definitely the best! I travel 40 miles to get a pizza from Joes. |

We like Arturo's thin crust - it has a flavor that only a wood-burning oven can provide. One caveat - we are not fond of sausage on their pies. It is crumbled and sprinkled over the pie. When we're in the mood for sausage we order from Marty's. Their regular pie with nice slices of Italian sausage is delicious! Now I'm hungry... |

Ask 20 MOLers what the best pizza is, and you will get 30 replies. I happen to love both Bunny's and Reservoir Pizza. Frank's Trattoria and Maplewood Pizzeria are my next tier -- also good, much thicker crusts. Have never had trouble with deliveries from any of the four I mentioned, either. |

We ordered pies from Bunny's for delivery to the school recently (for a party) and the kids loved the pizza. The service was great and delivery exactly at the time requested. We will actually be ordering again this week, for another party. |

Bunny's is great to eat in - but with all thin crust pizza's I think it loses something in delivery. Arturo's is in my opinion the best of the delivery options, but it takes forever to arrive. I tried Franks, but it was way greasy. It would be great if I could get a Chicago style stuffed pizza like Giordanos or Eduardos, but alas, they don't seem to exist here. |

Papayagirl, Vauxhall is a zip code within Union, so it's correct whether you say Joe's is in Vauxhall or in Union. I gotta try lots of these places' pizza!

Suzanne, likewise, let me see if I can remember the ingredients. Lots of roasted red peppers, garlic, onions, sausage, and it seems like there is something else, maybe I'm just thinking of the special herbs and spices or something, then again, it could be the beer. |

Thanks Monster... not sure if a class full of 9 year olds would enjoy it. I'll stick with the plain pies. I order from Bunny's for school events because if given notice the day before, they can have the pies to us at the beginning of our 11:30 lunch period. Many of the pizza places do not open or offer delivery until at least 11:30 or noon. (Just wish Bunny's accepted Amex!) Will you be at the next F2F on April 6? (or whatever date seems to be in the works?) |
