bra? This is more for modesty than for support, so I don't think we need Helen Hayes. Where do preteens shop for such items? thanks again... |

Believe it or not, I think that I saw some at Target and also Sears....(which by the way has come way up in clothing quality since they bought Lands End). :-) |

Oh G-d, embarassing flashback to the Susan Shop in Union. Old lady with a tape measure around her neck with no sense of modesty. I'm sure all the females here know the drill. Where ever you go, make sure that you avoid that type of sales person.

Thanks -- I'm hoping to avoid that as I recall similar at Meyer Bros Dept Store. Also this...this particular purchase was the last I remember with my mother before she became ill (or before it was revealed to me, anyway). So I'm hoping it won't be too emotional...but it may be! |

Having been through this with two daughters, I second Limited Too, with Target and Sears both close behind. |

I'm with sac. A plus of Target is that they have a lot of styles/types. Everything from the sawed off undershirt type up to more bra-like things (including, weirdly, these preformed numbers that do not require breasts; wouldn't have expected them in the pre-teen zone). You can take an arm load (well, 6 at a time) into the dressing room. It can help if you measure your daughter first (just to rule out some band sizes). Prices won't kill you, either. |
