A couple of general procedural questions... If I were to do something warranting a ban from MOL: *How am I notified of said ban? *Will I be notified of the specific act that warranted the ban, as a deterrent of committing the same act in the future? There seem to be some grey areas here as to what can and can't be said. *Will I be notified as to the length of my ban? 1 day, 1 week, lifetime? *Will I be notified upon comletion of my ban? When I was suspended, I only realized it by trying to post a message. I contacted Jamie who gave me the reason why and the length of the suspension. What would be interesting is learning the different sentencing terms for various types of MOL crimes. What would get you banned permanently??? Jamie/Dave? | ||

Did you see they had a follow up "It's a Good Life" episode in the newer Twilight Zone series? It aired recently. They had the actual kid who played Billy playing himself as a grown up and he had a kid of his own (and his daughter in real life played that role). Cloris Leachmen was in it too - still playing his mother. It was kind of neat - it was showing what happened to the town and how things were 30 years later basically, with, of course, a twist, as it is the Twilight Zone... | ||

Wow, this thread sure is suffering from some major drift. Allow me to be the one to bring it back on point. I too am curious about what it would take for someone to be banned for life, never again to be allowed to darken the door here at MOL! Let’s say, hypothetically, that there is someone who regularly posts, but never has anything of real value to add and is, in fact, rude, insulting, belittling, obtuse, uncivil, boorish, ill-mannered, malevolent, venomous, spiteful, cantankerous, petulant, and just downright unpleasant overall. Is a consistent inability to be civil to ANYONE reason enough to be banned for life? Just curious. | ||
