Due to some complicated circumstances, I may need a part-time babysitter who can drive ASAP (April 17). Can anyone provide me with some leads? The hours would be Monday, Thursday and Friday from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday all day from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Might be a temporary assignment. Would be care for two girls ages 6 1/2 and 4 1/2. Will pay generous rate (nanny going rate). I am experienced in employing nannies (have been doing so for the past six years) so no info needed on nanny vs. daycare. Thanks. Please help! This is an emergency; I am a single mom and must get some leads on this ASAP.

Thanks!

Zoesky,
I don't have any leads but strongly recommend you post an ad in the MOL help wanted section; I posted looking for a part-time nanny for an indeterminate period of time and got about 20 calls in the first 2 days alone.

Thanks, Tinkrock. Will do. I'm not trying to panic, but it's a potentially very dire situation. We don't even have local family members who can help.

You might try student-sitters.com. You pay $25 to be registered for 3 months ($20 every three months you remain registered). You can post your ad or view already posted ads from college students at several area colleges. I got a response from my ad in just a few days and we have been very happy with her. You can post a temporary position (for even one evening if you need it). Good luck!
