I just found myself after 2 years with a great nanny having to find another nanny. What is the going rate these days for a nanny taking care of 2 1/2 year old twins? She is completely responsible for their care ONLY, no housekeeping. She would also need to drive them to pre-school. Before I post an ad I wanted to check what everyone in Maplewood were paying for their nannies...
Any insight would be much appreciated.

An acquaintance is paying $100 per day to her nanny (live out). Cash in hand and the nanny has no medical coverage.

As long as five years ago I heard of nannies being paid at least $600 per week (Mon-Friday) in Short Hills and an enhanced rate if they work extra hours to stay on for an evening (if the employer wanted an evening in the city) and also on a Saturday, Sunday or on a public holiday.
