I'm looking for someone to clean my home before I move into it. And I'm talking hard-core cleaning. The current owners have cats and I am allergic to cats, as well as dust, mold, etc. (you name it!) I'd like recommendations for a cleaner you've personally used (or someone once removed from you has used) that will really get down and clean the places regular home cleaners won't like the dirt in the window sills, the cobwebs in the basement, the grime in between the tiles in the bathroom...and especially pay close attention to getting rid of obvious allergens. Any recs? Also...if you happen to know approximately how much one usually pays for this type of service for a 4 bedroom, 2000 sq foot home, that would be helpful, too. Thanks! |

We used Scrub Systems when we moved in...it has been (gulp!) 10 years now. They were unbelievably thorough. The house has never been that clean since. It did cost a big chunk of change however...I think it was $400. I think they are still around. |

I just found someone called Top House Cleaners or maybe Top Quality Home Cleaning (something similar) out of the yellow pages. They power washed the whole (inside) house. It was ... ok (although what did I expect just finding someone out of the yellow pages! ) I think they probably would do ok on an empty house. They did the inside of the fireplace, the exterior window sills, tops of the ceiling fans, the carpets, etc. They also scratched our wood floors moving a dresser. And forgot to check behind the radiators. But they were here the next day, and spent all day cleaning (10 AM - 5 PM). When I initially called, I was quoted $300, but then I added the carpets when they got here, and that added another $150. |

I this them, KMK? http://www.scrubsystems.com/index.htm I'd be very interested in hearing from anybody who's used them recently. Are they any good for the other things they advertise? Floors? Carpet? |

Scrub system's web site looks just like the service I need. I would also love to hear more feedback on them if anyone has any. |

I recommended J&M Diamond on another thread. I've used them for move in cleaning for two places and they were great. I also use them for ongoing cleaning. the move in cleaning for our house (2 story, 4 bedroom) was about $500. |

Yesterday, I got a pamphlet in the mail for this company. Don't know anything about it, but it might fit the bill. The Cleaning Authority 973-581-1616 You might ask a regular housekeeper for hire if she'll do what you're asking. I bet some of them will. You can ask mine, who is still willing to take on new work.
