I dropped my glasses in the Hudson--don't ask, it was not pretty. I have a good prescription so I don't need an exam, but need to get some new glasses made. The following are on my plan--any really good experiences with one of these? Cardona--Maplewood Ave Bregman--Maplewood Ave Lenscrafters--Route 22 Visions Eyecare--S Orange Ave Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

We had awful experiences with Cardona; good with Lenscrafter (Livingston mall) . We have found it cheaper to buy them in Costco (uninsured) than it ends up costing with our plan once the optional extras are added. |

Thanks--I will check out Costco, although my plan is pretty good on the hardware cost side of things. Costco does not take my plan, which makes sense given their already deep discounts. |

I have been going to Sally Bregman for many years. She is wonderful and has a nice selection of frames for decent prices. Give her a try. No need to go to Costco. Besides, all the frames at Costco are those metal ones with the nose pieces. All the same and all uncomfortable. |

We have had good service at Lenscrafters on Route 22. Discounts often available online, or if you're AAA member, there's a discount for that too. And all in one trip: walk in, choose frame, give them your prescription, go have lunch, come back and they're ready to go! |
