We are thinking of taking a weekend in June to go to Point Pleasant. Any ideas for a good place to stay nearby / or in the center? Anyone got ideas for stuff to do there? thanks

Swimmer,

There is much more to do in Cape May. Consider that location as a June weekend spot.

Who's we? Family? Point is VERY crowded all summer. They have a great boardwalk with games and rides, but are always packed all weekend. There are surrounding areas with some great bed and breaksfast places. Manasquan is a quieter beach - DON'T GET ME WRONG - all beaches are crowded all summer long, however, in Manasquan there's a small boardwalk section for some pizza, video games and icecream and the beach is no where near as crowded as Point.

Oh yeah - if you are set on Point Pleasant - the White Sands Hotel is reasonably priced, has a pool and a gym. It's across the street from the beach on the south side of the boardwalk.
