Kim's in town always seems to be so crowded. Is it that good? Anyone ever been to the Kim's (same owner) on Valley Road in W. Orange? Any good? Just as crowded?

Thanks.

Both Kim's are owned by the same person.
It must be good if they are always crowded right? I have been going there for over 5 years and find that the best way to get the service that you want in a timely manner is to call and make an appointment. If you find someone that you particularly like remember their name and call in advance. John gives awesome pedicures too!
I like Kim's because it is clean, has been owned by the same people for a number of years and really tries to understand what you want.

Thanks, any experience with the one in W. Orange? I'll actually be closer to there when I want to go.

I go to the one in West Orange. Until recently, it has not been as crowded. Last time, there was an hour wait for a pedicure.

I think Kim's is also crowded because they've been here the longest. Many customers have developed relationships with certain people at Kim's, and they have frequent customer cards/perks.

I don't go that often, and the new places popped up shortly after i moved in, so i don't really have allegiance to one place or another.

I don't like the service at Kims...I have been to Leo's nails several times and am always pleased.

I tried that appointment thing with Kim's a couple of times, and it was a disaster. It seemed like, even though I had made an appointment at a specific time with a specific person, they went ahead and put someone in that chair only minutes before I arrived, and I had to wait anyway.

I usually make appointments for Kim's, and rarely have to wait. There are definitely times/days when it will be exceedingly busy there, however, and then things sometimes get dicey even with an appointment. I think they try very hard to make most everyone happy.

No biggie, BGS. To me a pedicure is a pedicure. It ain't rocket science and just about anyone with some training can do one. I prefer to take the path of least resistance, which means I'd rather go to Leo where it's way less crowded and hectic, and the service has always been good.

Guess I'll be there real soon, as it seems time to take the feet out of hiding after winter!

Meand - be careful! sure, anyone can be well trained to give a pedicure...but the cleanliness of the joint makes a diff.

not saying any of the places mentioned here are not clean...just saying be careful

I used to go to Kim's, always feel rushed and have gotten really poor mani/pedi's lately. I switched over to Leo's and love it.
