My dear young son thinks he lost his (rented)violin somewhere near Clinton School a few weeks back. I know it is a long shot, but I am hoping some kind soul might have found it and is reading this. If you have any leads on errant stringed instruments, please PL me! laura |

Laura - You might want to call the teacher and have all the kids check to make sure they have their own instrument at home. I taught middle school orchestra for 2 1/2 years and received TONS of panicked phone calls from parents about missing instruments. Everytime, without fail, another student had grabbed it and taken it home accidentally since all the cases look so much alike. I hope your son finds his instrument, and when he does, try putting some kind of identifying sticker or something on the case to differentiate it from others. Actually, any parents of any young musicians might want to do that - some of my former students got really creative and tied small stuffed animals or colorful ribbons to their cases. Sometimes the name tag just isn't enough. Good luck! |
