Hi all,

I've got a couple of pieces of jewelry in need of repair- one of which is critical. I was cleaning my small diamond studs this morning and the stone popped out of the setting! Where can I go locally to get the stud fixed that does great work but won't cost as much as buying a new set of earrings? (These are small studs.)

Also, I'm hoping to find somewhere that can tighten the clasps on a good set of hoops I have- I'm afraid to wear them for fear I lose one!

Thanks!

I completely trust "George Remolina Designs" on Main St. in Millburn (973) 467-1007. They did a fantastic job on my mother's ancient engagement ring that had cracked in the band - they had to redo the entire setting so that it would look right. It was a very unique band and she just loved the result! Very reasonable. They can make jewerly from a picture, make simple repairs, clean jewelry and watches - everything but appraisals I believe.

I completely agree with Pdg's recommendation.
