Sorry to ask this again, but after searching, I still can't find the thread on speech therapists. There were a couple everyone seemed to like, and I NEED to get my 2 year old in somewhere soon. Early Intervention is proving to be a bust (no return call in more than a month) so I'm on to pay privately (or through my insurance if I can swing it!).

any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Try Creative Speech Solutions, Cynthia Marrapodi in Summit.

We had seen one of her associates but stopped once EI got started since it is so much easier to do it at home w/a 2 year old. I would reccommend calling your case manager again. They have a 21(? or 30) day requirement to respond.

Rachel Fisch Kaplan. She lives in South Orange, but has offices in Summit and the city.

Cynthia's associate, Karen Kern, did wonderful oral-motor work with my daughter when she was two. I give her five stars as a practitioner and a person (and I'm not only a child psychologist with a lot of speech pathology 'exposure' in my background, but a picky mom as well). Good luck!

We also recommend Rachel Fisch-Kaplan. (212) 712-2014

(When asked who his favorite teacher was, my son surprised us by saying "Rachel" without hesitation! He "graduated" from speech, but still loves her very much.)
