I need to replace a retaining wall that is currently all concrete (what's left of it). I would like to replace it with something nice, (i.e., not another concrete wall). Any recommendations as to who I could call? Much appreciated TK |

E.A De Santis West Orange 973 731 2661 - I think they are eagle rock road Ask for Orlando. They did some work for a friend of mine and also some for me and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Ciffrodelli Landscaping - Florham Pk I think Ask for Mike, He built us a retaining wall out of PA blue stone - no concrete was used - except for the top layer. It stays in place bc he shapes each stone to fit. After 4 years our beautiful wall hasn't budged. Though our wall is only about 40 X 4, I've seen walls he's done that were literally ovefr 100 feet long, all with PA blue stone or similar flat stone. Also, he is great with follow through. He arrived every day at 7, worked all day and finished the job ahead of schedule. Other people I know who've used Mike have been equally impressed. He is a true Mason. |

Ah, now the $64,000 question. I have a concrete retaining wall that I have put more money into patching, painting, putting weep holes, backfilling with pebbles to keep it in shape and it still peels, cracks and splits. I have 175 feet of wall. What might that cost to remove and replace with something more pleasing? |

We used and have referred Matt Magaletta to a few friends in Maplewood. He did our backyard a few years ago. We had a concrete block wall removed and had Matt put Techo block pavers in and a matching wall. http://magalettalandscape.com/design.html Check out the photos on the Backyard Park Setting job he did on a home along Maplewood Avenue. It's a lot that butts up against the train tracks. It was an amazing transformation!
