I heard of a place ...I may be forgetting the name...Turtle Toes in Maplewood/South Orange? Is anyone familiar with this place or the person who runs it? Or other recommendations for child care in a group setting other than day care?
 Thanks

Maybe you're thinking of Totri in South Orange - 973.761.4309. I like it very much. My son isn't a regular, but I can drop him off when I need extra time. It's very handy (and not too expensive - $9/hr).

You might also call Amy at Little Yellow House Playgroup - 973.313.2845. She runs a small program at her home in Maplewood. It's very relaxed and mellow. I think she does mornings only. She charges $12/hr.

There's a woman who cares for children in her home on Plymouth Avenue in Maplewood, just a few houses up from Maplecrest Park, or at least that was the case in the past. I don't know the name and address, but she always had a little sign in her front yard about it so it might be worth a drive by.

The woman on Plymouth Ave is Anne Young. We used her years ago. Nice lady. I don't have her phone number, but I think it's in the book. If not, it used to be posted on her tree in her front yard.
