Does anyone have any ideas about where I can purchase a stand for an outdoor bucket swing? I don't need an entire swingset, just something I can attach this swing to.

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure I understand the question - do you need what amounts to a "single swing" swingset?

My first thought was a relatively simple structure using one upright, one cross beam and anchoring it to the garage... but let us know what you're going after here!

Or you can use three metal or wood beams (2x4's or such) and build a tripod. It can be bolted or tied at the top and because there are three legs it will always be level and not teeter from side to side. Also, this will make it portable to be set up wherever you want that day.

I think the tripod idea is interesting, but I'm not sure how you can "swing" from it; the arc of a swing would seem to intersect one of the three legs at some point.

It sounds like what you need is a small swingset: horizontal bar supported by four legs. I don't know the dimensions of your yard, but you might want to consider biting the bullet and putting in a small swingset (two swings, at least).

Alternatively, is there a mature tree with a good strong branch you can work with?

the yard is very tiny...and no good trees. i know i have seen something: basically 3 metal bars, 2 cemented into the ground with one across to hang the swing...i saw it off the train in someone's yard...i just dont know where to get one. i will keep looking and also measure to see if a double swing set would fit...

thanks!

aha! The plot thickens... I have not seen what you're describing, but it seems like something that could be quite easily built from scratch.

Let me quantify 'quite easily' - a general contractor should be able to undertake a project like this without it costing a tremendous amount of money.

If you like, I can refer you to someone (or someone on MOL might just jump in at this point).
