I have Davis Vision and am trying to find a local optometrist for an eye exam. Has anyone been to Dr. Russell Kateman, Dr. Nermin Gendy, Dr. Maria Cardona or Dr. Bradley Doolen? If so, can you recommend them? I tried to do a search but I think the search feature isn't working now.

We had negative experiences with Cardona. We use a good place in the city now but,in the end, it always seems cheaper to go to Costco with your Rx and get the glasses/contacts there.

akb--Thanks for the feedback. I do plan to order my contacts elsewhere. I am primarily looking for someone who can do a good exam but who also has an office staff that provides good customer service (good hours, convenient location, no drama with getting the prescription filled elsewhere, etc.).

We've been happy with Lens Crafters on Rte 22 for exams, contacts and glasses. You can take their prescription anywhere (the optometrist, Dr. Buensuceso, is at the Lens Crafters location, but not part of Lens Crafters). Rte 22 eastbound, not that far from Barnes & Noble but on the other side. There are "always" discount coupons for LC, also a AAA discount.

The optometrist who examines at Dawn Opticians in South Orange (name escapes me) has also given good service, but I think Dawn expects to fill the Rx.

we have Davis vision disappointed with Cardona, and times two with Lenscrafters I have to say they are the worst. Have used Cohens opticals there is a location at the Livingstone mall, I think you will be very happy with them
