Bought some coleslaw from Church's on Friday; is it still ok to eat today?

Is the mayo starting to separate or is it getting "watery"? I am super-conservative on this issue (TS likes to call it overly obsessive) and I don't eat anything over 4 days old. Meat & fish less.

TS would eat it as long as it looked and smelled OK.

yes, a teensy watery. and maybe the color is not quite right.

guess I'd better just toss it, even if it turns out to be fine I could end up spending the whole afternoon wondering "was that coleslaw I ate really ok?" -- no fun in that.

bummer . . .

What are you going to eat instead of coleslaw?

Cheez doodles! They are nutritionally equivalent, no?

I believe that they are healthier. No trans fat and baked. Cheese has protein.

I wanted to post something witty, like 'the nice part about cheeze dooodles is you can get your entire RDA of sodium and dihydroxywhatever in one grab sized bag,' - but for accuracy's sake I wanted to check the ingredients. Wise Foods, Inc. doesn't list the ingredients online! You have to contact them. You might have been safer sticking with questionable coleslaw, Amandacat...

Phoebe Snow likes cheeze dooodles so much that the keyboard and front end of her previously black Yamaha baby grand piano are thoroughly dusted with a yellow coat.
