Most likely No, No, and No. Unless you get permission from one of the businesses with a lot. When do you need to go? Maybe someone could drive you both ways, or you could park in someone's driveway.

I have gotten stuck in the city before w/ car at station and have called MW 5-0 who have then caused me not to receive a ticket.

Good luck and park well, all.

If you're willing to walk several blocks, you can probably park on the street in one of the neighborhoods near the Maplewood or South Orange stations.

I believe there is no overnight parking allowed on any of the streets in Maplewood. As Davidbuckly did, we have called Maplewood PD and told them our car would be parked overnight and that was fine - need your licence plate number to give them.

No overnight parking on residental streets in South Orange either without clearing it with the police. Don't know how they'd respond to you asking to park in front of a stranger's house...

Boomie,

We tried this at the South Orange parking lot close to the fire station (where after a certain time it free for the public to park). We left our car on a Saturday night till Sunday. We took a chance and got no ticket luckly. We figured since it was the weekend, the cops may think we were out partying late.

We made sure to park closest to the fire station. However, on a week night, call SO police and let them know so you will not get a ticket.

The pay lots right next to the train tracks in Maplewood are NJT property and MPD does not ticket there. We haven't done this for 3 or 4 years, so you may want to call MPD and check if this is still the case.
