Does anyone have any experience with OB/GYN Dr. Smith? I looked through prior posts of recommended OB/GYNs and did not see her name mentioned. She's on Springfield Ave. in Maplewood. |

She's my GYN. She is very to-the-point, and has evening hours. I have not used her for OB services. She doesn't chat you up much, but she gets my least favorite annual chore done quickly. |

she delivered my son and for the most part i felt she was a good doctor. he was losing oxygen and i had to have an emergency c section. she handled this with ease. However, I had a problem with one of her staff. I was told my appt was canceled by dr. smith. I was upset my appointment was cancelled because my husband had driven back from a bussiness trip to make the appt. I express my disappointment with the staff person and said goodbye and hung up. she told the doctor I hung up on her. My next appointment we decided not the bring it up but Dr Smith did and totally took her staff member's side didnt even bother to ask me what happened. She spoke to us like we were kids. I wanted to leave right there but felt I was too far along in my pregnancy. Your staff is a reflection of you, hopefully the person no longer works there, this was in 2000. For my second child I went to Dr. Wright Cadet she's hard to get basic appointments with but she's great doc with great bedside manner. her staff is excellent. I had complications and she totally made me feel she wqas in control. |
