Psychologists for a 14 year old who has some minor (in the scheme of things) issues and would like to talk to someone. I would prefer to stick to doctors on my plan so please contact me on this thread or PL if you recommend for or against any of the following. Thanks in advance! Elio Arrechea Randy Bressler Stephen Craig Dennis Decicco Barry Katz Richard Leit Kevin Miller Barry Mitchell Robert Morrow Ronald Pannone Joseph Perzel David Pilchman Lawrence Sasso Carl Shesler Mark Singer Ilya Weiner Wayne Young Not all of them necessarily deal with adolescents. I know nothing about them except they are all psychologists. Yes I know social workers are an option as well but I thought I'd start here. Thanks in advance! |

I recognize some of those names -- Short Hills Psych group? Anyway, if you'd like the name of a female therapist -- I have 2 good ones - but it looks like all the names are male (by design, I assume) Pete |

Pete, would you list the female therapists or PL me? My son just told me that he doesn't mind a female. Then I'll check my list against those names. Thanks! I just found out that Dr. Pilchman - Short Hills Psych Group - is not affiliated with Short Hills Group anymore and its the group which has maintained the provider contract, not Dr. Pilchman. |

michele, thanks so much for that offer. It was weird looking at names from a list without recommendations at first. I do more research for plumbers it would seem. It turns out based on yours and someone else's recs, we going to look at Dr. Mitchell. My husband and I have an appointment next week to first meet with him (protocol and background stuff) and then we'll set up an appointment for my son. Should it be necessary, I will definitley take you up on your kind offer. And Pete thanks for the recs. I will keep them in mind should Dr. Mitchell not pan out for some reason. |
