Where is the nearest unattended post office? I just made that term up. I'm talking about a post office that leaves its lobby unlocked all night and has stamp vending machines. A few weeks ago, I was in the Piscataway post office. It was about to close, so the clerk showed me how to use the vending machine. This cleared the line out faster and she also showed me so I could use it next time. The new machine even let me send certified-return-receipt-requested mail! I think it can do more, too.
So where is such a post office in this neighborhood? I stopped by Vauxhall, and they don't have such a lobby.

True and I realized that when I posted it. But I figured that SO and Union are closer and opening at 3:30 am or so and staying open till 7pm was pretty good too - even if not 24 hours. |

I guess the Maplewood Post office just seems like it is unattended because the line is always to the door and never moves. |

Wendy, I might be wrong but I think the 3:30 is pm (after the post office closes) till 7pm or so. It looks that way to me. |

Yup, you're right. I'm sure they mean PM. It must have been wishful thinking on my part. |
