If they need to be "aged" I'll take them. I got a wood rack for Christmas that I haven't even assembled.

If they're rotten, you CAN take them to the recycling place. They'll be redistributed as compost next season.

IF you're in South Orange. Hey, there IS something good to say,

Tom, can we take leaves and sticks to dump off at the Maplewood recycling center? Any specific hours or anytime?

I think you can, but I'm not sure. I suggest you contact the township to ask.

The logs are infested and they came with the house when we bought in Feb. Yuck.

I've noticed a few carpenter ants working their way inside and we've got to get rid of them.

On another note...did y'all know the recycling place gives away free compsting soil? I haven't seen the quality but I think that's great. I just need to get my caboose down there.

I would not recommend getting compost from the recycling center. A few years back, both my neighbor and myself went to the recycling center and picked up some garbage cans full of mulch. Turns out it was infested with termites and carpenter ants. Sometimes FREE isn't worth it.
