Nice little (not so little, actually) Xerox 6100 color printer...

To replace the toner cartridges, forget about the imaging unit, waste receptacle, transfer unit, just the cyan, magenta, yellow and black toner cartridges one time costs MORE than the printer itself!!! If you get "high capacity", significantly more.

Anyone have ideas re how to "not buy Xerox"?

Thanks and print well, all.

David

Here's a refill option - http://www.tonerrefillkits.com/refill_products105.php?Xerox_6100_BD

See how these prices compare for Xerox...

You can also search for remanufactured cartridges (aka "compatibles").

SO Ref:

Thanks for your help.

The 2 sites respectively are:

1. 14% HIGHER than Xerox directly;

2. $1 less.

I'm ignorant about "refilling" and leery of it; did you ever do it?

Seems like they've got me by the short hairs...!

Print well and affordably, all.

David

I'll look at a source when I go to work tomorrow to see if they do Xerox products.

I've had zero experience re-filling, but compatibles have come a long way. I'll let you know what I find.

Try the http://www.suppliesguys.com , david

I have been using them for years and they are good people.

I don't know anything about 6100 pricing though. Let me know.

DB -

Our source is www.clovertech.com. They carry some Xerox Phaser product, but didn't specifically see the 6100...

Hope that helps.
