Forget the name of the shop. It is up on Cedar and Ridegwood Ave in Maplewood across from Milk Money.

I love Classic Design Framing, right on Maplewood Ave. Depends on what you want, though. CDF can make a $6 poster look like great art, and do fabulous memorabilia framing. Not cheap, but exceedingly high quality and the owner is very personable and easy to work with. Can explain your price range and expectations...

Right across from Milk Money is The Framing Mill. I second Rick, he's great.

Another recommendation for Krista at Classic Design Framing & CDF Gallery - across from St. James Gate on Maplewood Avenue. Cynical is right - she will work within your price parameters and do an amazing job. She's very creative and trained in preservation techniques. Stop in and visit when you're in town.

Krista at Classic Design Framing in Maplewood Center framed a couple of my photos of an old wooden railroad tressle for me, and they look great.
I would absolutely recommend her shop.

Their website is

Another Classic Design Framing fan here. I love Krista's stuff too.

Amazing selection from $40 to $400—or more, (these prices are the range of items I've had framed there, from my daughter's sketches to a french silkscreen framed and filleted & matted with suede ) unique combinations, meticulous attention to detail.

I've sung her praises in the past and it seems as time goes by she gets better and more special things in. Not only that, I've bought jewelry, shoes and pottery there during her shows each month.

I'm so happy since she's been there. Save me trips to the city and my decor looks better than ever!

Developed? As in not digital? I'm not sure really, but give Bill Tomlin (973-762-9341) a call although I believe he uses a digital format now, I'm sure he'll be able to guide you in some direction.
