I have a few things I'd like to take in, including a couple of work suits from Ann Taylor Loft/Brooks Brothers, but also more casual stuff from Banana Republic or Gap. I tried to do a search but alas, it didn't work. Or if anyone can recommend a place like Dress for Success that takes work clothing? (I've already done some research on DfS, and I'm not sure I can make their very specific guidelines). The sale generates $ for several Newark-based agencies and anything left over is donated to other agencies, including Dress for Success. That's at Morrow Church in Maplewood. The local consignment shops are -- I have found -- pretty tough nuts to crack. DoubleTake in Millburn is very, very high end. They get shipments from soap operas and they are seriously designer. They have a minimum of 6 items (accepted for sale) or they don't take any. They would take the names you are speaking of. She also, though, looks over everything with a fine tooth comb. But that is a good thing if you are the buyer. There is also a shop on Chestnut Street in Union.
