So, the traditional gift for the fifth year is wood...any ideas on something to get my husband? The new traditional gift is silverware, but why would he want that? I'll stick to something of the wood nature. HELP HELP HELP |

Boys love wood. A cool clock? A nice dresser-top valet? For silver, how about a nice pic of the two of you in a silver frame? |

A rocking chair for your porch, a bench for your garden, a tree to plant in your yard . . . |

Oh, I like the tree idea. That's good wood. The wood that keeps on giving. Also, if he's a cook, a butcher block with some REALLY good knives. Silver and wood. (Ok, SS and wood, but you get the idea).

How about something Antique in wood for the house? Spend a Saturday, or weekend in Lambertville & New Hope, and notice if he sees anything in particular. Remember it, call later and order it as a suprise anniv. gift. |

One of those wooden boxes from CDF Gallery, in the display case? Or for something really nature inspired, why don't you pick out a tree or shrub and have it planted on your property. We do that for some occasions and it is a nice reminder of the time we've been together, had our kids, birthdays, etc. You can even make/buy a little plaque with your names, dates (can be very whimsical or more traditional and post it below). |
