Are you supposed to cut off the dead/dying flowers on bulb flowers like daffodils and tulips? I know the part about leaving the leaves to die back but I think I heard you must remove the old flowers, especially on tulips if you want them to come back again the next year?

yes, snip the dead flowers about 2 inches down from the bottom of the flower and leave the stem and leaves.
