I believe it starts about an hour or say after the entire Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies have concluded. Please don't take this the wrong way but here is as good a place as any to give my opinion about the duck races. While I have nothing against the duck race and the charities it benefits (and the people organizing it are wonderful caring citizens of our town), the true purpose of this day and the main reason for coming to the Village/Town Hall area should be to pay our respects to all of our nation's soldiers who have fought and died for our country. Sure go to the duck races. I'll probably be there too. But please everyone, wake up earlier and celebrate Memorial Day in the manner it was intended as well.
