Help with my laptop PORT 25 block, an...

We reloaded windows and updated all of our firewalls etc and they restored access, all is working fine. My laptop that works off of a router at home, however is not working. I can surf the net but can't enter any email sites...any site having to do with email, gmail, comcast, etc...I believe there is still a block somehow on this laptop but when I call they say it must be some setting in my computer.....
