I went out to grill tonight and the stone around the grill was covered with theses little tiny red bugs. I have seen them before but not this many in one spot.Anyone know what they are?

Are they the size of a pin point? I'd guess chiggers...

If they are what I think, they are red spider mites. You can just spray with a mixture of soapy water and that should solve the problem until you see them again.

millie didn't say they were a problem. She just asked what they are. I saw a bunch on a stone tonight, too. They are really tiny.

Most definitely spider mites. We usually don't have chiggers this far north. Soapy water is a very good idea.
