I have a prescription and need to pick them up before foot surgery later this week. Any recommendations for a place that's fairly close?

Carolina Drugs definitely. They also have shower protectors that go over the cast, shower stools and grabber things for sitting on the coach & reaching the remote when it falls on the floor.

Thank you all. Carolina's it is...that's easy.

TomR--I appreciate it, but I want to make sure they are fitted properly, as I already have issues with the affected arm/shoulder etc. from previous surgery.

Don't forget to buy the faux shearling pads for the hand grips and under the arm. The chafing from the armpit rubbing and holding the grips happens really quickly.

Thanks, Doula. I have to be all better by Saturday so that I can get the rest of the garden in.

MJ - good luck. I hope that you do your recuperating on a nice chaise lounge in the yard.

Ditto what Greenetree said - I developed a contact allergy with my rubber hand-grips (tiny paintful little blisters all over my reddened palms!). Get the covers and prevent further discomfort - it's bad enough to have to use the crutches!
