Warning: The following message is being cross posted to spread the word quickly: Jamie has agreed to have a group from MOL march in the parade but he warns it will strictly be BYOB (Bring Your Own Banner). If you would like to march with other MOL posters, please either indicate by posting a message in the Memorial Day Parade thread in Virtual Cafe or send me a PL. Anyone wanting to march with the MOL contingent should be at the Columbia High School Student Parking Lot at 8:15 AM on Memorial Day. Since some of our newer posters may not recognize the group, an assembly space for MOL will be provided assuming someone expresses interest. |

Soulful Mr. T: Are you volunteering to serve as MOL moderator for the march? Seriously: Quite a few MOLers have been involved in working on this parade: approving the permit for the parade, designing this year's flier, organizing their own organization's marching contingent, handing out flags to young marchers at the assembly point, helping to line up marchers and start the parade, participating in the Veteran's honor guard, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if there is at least one MOLer in each of the groups participating in the parade this year. This invitation is for the unaffiliated among us who would like to be a part of a terrific parade. Please let me know if you would like to be a part of an MOL group in the parade. |

What if all the marching/attending MOLers wore a badge, maybe a yellow smily, or whatever? Those of us who've always missed the F2Fs could spend the morning guessing who's who. |

Another idea would be for each marching MOLer to carry an individual sign reading MOL, which can be carried in front of the face by those who wish to remain anonymous. |

I think all SERIOUS MOLers should sport nerd outfits. Marching with signs? Lame. Marching with MOL signs dressed as nerds? Priceless. J.B. |

We could still use a few people with forceful but non-violent personalities to help line up the marchers. If interested please send me a PL. Date: May 29, 2006 Time: 8:00 AM - 9:15 AM (approximate) Location: Student Parking Lot, Columbia HS Duties: Show people arriving at the assembly point where to line up so we will have marchers in approximately the same order as they will be in in the parade. Encourage groups to stay together. Tell each group when it is their turn to enter the parade by proceding to West Parker Avenue. |
