Any idea if there is still a problem coming from Manhattan? I am supposed to be on the train at 2:11 today. |

CNN also said power is restored, but the NJ Transit web site says service is still suspended. But their site data may be delayed. Does anyone know if trains are running out of Penn again? I need to figure out if I should leave work early to plan for a Hoboken leg or not. Thanks! |

Go to Hoboken. I wish I had last night- the 9:39 got into South Orange around 11:15 after "minor delays." NJT is saying that trains are still only running in/out of Hoboken. |

Yeah, now they have this up (before they just still said the power was out): May 25, 2006 02:15:05 PM Rail Update Due to an Amtrak power outage, MidTOWN DIRECT service is operating to Hoboken. PATH and NJT Bus will cross honor NJT Rail tickets/passes. So I guess I'm 'Boken-bound. |

I would say MidTOWN DIRECT is NOT running personally, since it doesn't actually go to midtown. Silly NJT. |

Just got home and yeah I left early after my experiences at Hoboken the last time this happened. There are a bunch of NJ Transit office types trying to direct people to trains. Trains are being combined and it seems like the departure times and destinations are being changed every few minutes. When rush hour starts expect chaos. I caught a Dover train at 4:14, changed twice from earlier departures and got to MW in about 35 minutes. The train made all local stops. At least this time the conductor didn't try to charge me the upcharge for MTD service that happened the last time MTD ran out of Hoboken. |

From the NJ Transit website: "Friday Service All NJ TRANSIT rail service is expected to operate on a regular schedule on Friday, May 26." Not saying you should believe it but that's what it says.
