I grew up here, but now I live down at the Jersey Shore. My grandmother still lives up here in South Orange, and is 89 and unable to mow her lawn. She does not own a lawn mower. Does anyone have a teenage son willing to mow? Or a lawn service that won't charge a ton of money? I can mail a check (or drop off when I am visiting) Any other ideas? My brother just took care of it yesterday, but before then the grass was almost over a foot tall. |

Probably you should specify what neighborhood your grandmother lives in, most teenagers who can and will do this kind of work aren't necessarily driving yet.

Good thought - she's down the street from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. |

I'm sure someone would happily help get this done, but your thread title isn't the best to attract them - maybe check with Dave if your title can be changed to something more obvious like - "Grandma needs affordable lawn help", and then make it really easy for people who don't go to or pay attention to area churches to know the location you're talking about. (For instance, I don't even know if your grandmother is in Maplewood or South Orange b/c I don't know anything about OLoSC) Perhaps you'd also consider posting the job in MOL's Employment section. It is very widely read and I've found help there several times in the past. Just trying to offer some suggestions - Good luck! |

Two or three people have posted that their teenagers are looking for paid work.
