It's an assisted living facility and nursing home. It used to be a private home (the Ward Homestead).

There are also just plain old apartments for those in their "golden years" who may not necessarily even need assisted living facilities. It's beautiful in there. I've been to a number of places like that - and it's by far the nicest.

The independent living section (called "villas") are really townhouses with one or two bedrooms and bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and attached garage. They are very nice.

My mom just moved in there and is very happy so far. She's in the independent living section. At 65, she is by FAR the youngest. She didn't want to live alone anymore and wanted to be near her grandkids so it made sense for her even though many people think she is a resident's daughter! The apartments are very nice as is the dining room. She's thrilled not to have to cook unless she wants to.

Quite a few members of our church (Morrow) live there...some have gone from the villas to assisted living right on thru to the nursing home. That is the beauty of it...you can go there in good health and as the twilight approaches still be in familiar surroundings....
Living there is very very expensive though and I do not foresee Mr BGS and me being there.

Question about WG, are all of the apartments/townhouses rentals? My MIL is considering moving into an adult community but wants to own not rent.

Thanks B. I had checked their website previously and couldn't find any info on rent vs. own. I'll give them a call.
