WE LIVE AT THE CORNER OF PROSPECT STREET AND HARVARD AVE. (BACKING UP TO TUSCAN SCHOOL)
I FORGOT TO PUT HIM BACK IN THE CAGE YESTERDAY AND HE HAS ROAMED OFF OUR PORCH. IF YOU LIVE NEARBY AND HAPPEN TO SEE HIM, PLEASE LET US KNOW. HE IS THE SIZE OF A GRAPEFRUIT AND DOES HAS SHORT QUILLS (THAT DON'T POP OUT AT YOU) BUT THEY DO HURT IF YOU PICK HIM UP WITHOUT GLOVES. HE DOESN'T BITE, BUT IS NERVOUS AND SOUNDS LIKE A PRESSURE COOKER IF YOU GO NEAR HIM. HIS NAME IS BOO BOO, AND HE COULD CARE LESS THAT HE HAS A NAME, BUT WE LIKE HIM.

Oh, boo hoo for Boo Boo and his owners! (I mean that!!) I love hedge hogs. Do you know, are they native to England? or do we also have them in the wild here? |

No, not yet, but thanks for asking. We've been searching all weekend. Hopefully, our signs
will help spark a search by Tuscan school kids.

Sorry about Boo Boo. A few years ago, while walking beside that tall hedge around the house at the corner of Prospect and Tuscan, my daughter and I used to look for for "hedgie" the hedgehog. I had told her these bushes were a hedge she assumed they must be filled with hedgehogs. We still peek in them and call out for hedgie for fun. We'll keep an eye out for Boo Boo, too.

Laurey, so sorry to hear about Boo Boo. You're on such a busy corner, so many kids and adults around so much of the time. Hopefully somebody will see him soon. Do you need help with a search party? |
