My computer guy is no longer available to me and I am looking for someone relatively local who knows pcs and can handle problems, and possibly provide advice on buying a new computer.(Right now my computer is slow and I am having a Outlook Express problem which does not seem to be a comcast problem.) I am not looking for specific advice here but simply the name of someone who comes well-recommended and can help me deal with some problems which are driving me crazy.

You can get advice on the new computer here online (in Technology, probably)... and if you're having a specific problem you can post it there as well. If you prefer, we can talk on the phone regarding a new PC - it won't take long to figure out what you should buy. Regarding the slow computer, there are a few programs you can run to do an 'auto cleanup' : Spybot S&D, AdAware and Cleanup! You may not have a problem that will cost you any money to fix. Having said THAT, you can send me a PL and we can discuss your specific issues offline. Don't get driven crazy! It's just not worth it. |

Thanks folks, I appreciate it. I haven't heard from Alison yet though - perhaps the problem went away? |
