Hi! My husband, 1 year old son and I are moving to S. Orange. My 13 year old nephew will also be living with me this summer. He almost failed the 7th grade (problems w/ math and reading) and I'm going to get him some diagnostic testing/tutoring help over the summer. Does anyone have any feedback about the Suburban Learning Center in S. Orange and/or the national learning centers like Sylvan and Huntingdon? Also, if there are other local options I'd greatly appreciate any input.

My daughter went to Huntington in Livingston and great results. After she finished her hours there she above grade level there was no pressure to sign her back up. She now has a tutor whoc comes once a week to keep her on the right track. However Huntington is very expensive if I remember correctly we paid about 9,000 dollars. But it all depends on how many hours the child needs. |

Hi Amy, there is a great tutoring center on Valley Street in Maplewood next to Tara's Deli. It's called The Academic Resource Center. http://arc4me.com/index.html |
