If anyone happens to be going to their bank today or tomorrow (within 15 miles of South Orange) would you please ask if the branch has any $100 straps of new one dollar bills? (That's bundles of new in sequence one dollar bills.) If they do, would you please ask if they can hold on to them until the next day, then PL me the information so I can go get them? I need them for a project and the bank I usually get them from can no longer get them. Thanks!

I have a hundred or so sequenced deuces, but you can't have them. They're mine!!!

Sequenced bills are such a problem when you must count out money in a high volume cash business like I did for many years. Though I became quite good at it, others were slowed down, and that can cost when you're talking 50's and 100's. Ahh, the smell of new money. Better than...

Joanne-
Sorry about that! He must have asked me 5 times over the past couple of months; but I had a problem with loosing mail and not being able to get into the mail. Then I couldn't remember who it was I asked. I'll have him PL you with the new email. Thanks!

More important, how is your kitty doing?

MHD and cat-
Thanks! What pals you guys are!

On a serious note, I would be forever grateful if MOLers would ask at their banks about new in sequence one dollar bills! They aren't going to be spent in the same place. We need them for something we're going to the beginning of July and new bills work best. Thanks!

JTA, kitty is snoring really LOUDLY on sofa in front log fire right now - had a good day but a difficult one in terms of senses as landlords arrived for heavy duty landscaping (finally reduced cypress hedges in height and width, lopped masses of dead fruit trees, removed old gum trees). Meantime, washing machine in laundry kept threatening to overflow with four loads of jeans etc. Half through the gardening mayhem, friends arrived with their new car. Just too much noise and too much sudden sunlight for one old furry lady . Cosnidering it all, she coped really well!

Please remember to tell your nephew we only have gold coloured coins, not notes for $1 and $2. Our lowest note is $5 and its purple-ish and plastic.http://www.ramint.gov.au/mint_issue/default.cfm
