I am not a cook and my husband is at work. If I have two pieces of meat that are 10 lbs. each and the cooking time is 10 minutes per pound that is 100 minutes each or 1 hour and 40 minutes. I am cooking them at the same time. My friend says that two 10lb pieces of meat is really 20lbs of meat so I need to cook it 200 minutes which is 3 hours and 20 minutes. Big difference. Which is right? Also if I cook in a convection oven is it less time? |

In a regular oven, 2 will cook in about the same time as one if you leave some space between them. In a microwave, it would be approximately double the time. Don't know about convection, but I would guess it's more like a conventional oven. Check the manufacturer's instructions. Since 10 pounds is a pretty big piece of meat, you might want to use a meat thermometer to check whether the center is at the doneness you want. |

What the heck are you doing with 20 pounds of meat?! I'm having flashbacks to math class. I hated math class. |

I agree with mjc - you may need slightly more time but a thermometer would really help you out. If you cook it for 3 hours plus you won't be able to eat it! |
