Can any of you ex-Brooklynites comment on Puppetworks? Is it worth the trek out there on a rainy day with a 4 year old? Anything else worthwhile to also do in the area? |

We loved Puppetworks when we lived in Brooklyn and even had our daughter's second birthday party there. It is a quite unique experience, small, intimate, very unique and interesting puppets. The quality of the shows vary but the experience was always a great one for our kids and as I recall, it's quite reasonably priced. |

Four is a great age for Puppetworks - old fashioned marionettes in a small space with wooden benches - it is charming, low-tech, and as cecelia says, quite unique. nearby on fifth ave., is a cool ice cream parlor/cafe. if your kid likes dogs, there's a william wegman photography exhibit at the brooklyn museum on now. carousel and prospect park zoo less than a mile away. have fun! |
