Looking to buy a house which had a Termite incident 3 yrs ago and wanted to a recommendation for a local Real Estate Attorney who has experience in this area. I am sure this must be common around here.
Any recommendation with regards to what we should be aware of in the contract.

I'd recommend Brian Fahey, Jr, of Fahey & Fahey.
They've practiced out of Millburn, Westfield & Springfield for years and have recently moved to Far Hills.

We had very good experiences with Slingerland and Slingerland right here in Maplewood. Both for our purchase and our two refi's. 1-973-762-1500. Very quick and efficient and helpful considering the person we bought our home from had already moved to Seattle and so we had to do everything long distance. And the office of S&S were great about it all. |

It sound like you need a terminate control company to inspect the property and certify that the infestation was eradicated and that no major damage was done. It is possible that the sellers have something like that already together with an ongoing service contract. |

Am currently working with Bob Dempsey (Summit) 908-277-0388 and having only spoken with him on the phone, I am impressed and quite pleased. He takes my business quite seriously, and knowing that this process is concurrent with a divorce, I feel like he shows extra caution on my behalf. I called several attys before chosing him; he seemed quite knowledgable and experienced, costs on the high-average side. Being on my own, I felt I needed a great advocate. |
