I have about an 8" scratch on the door of my car. Do I need to take this to a full-fledged Body Shop or can a regular mechanic "buff" it out? Has anyone had similar work done and if so, can they recommend the shop that fixed their car? How long did the repair take? Any leads would be great. Thanks.

Go to Modern Auto Body on Valley Street across from Pathmark. Ask for Adam. He might be able to buff it out for you. I've been going to Adam for more then 15 years. He is very honest and does excellent work.

Very nice people.I got the best price from them for a paint job this week and I am very happy with the work they have done.
